Copebras’s latest 40,000 mt sulphur tender was reportedly awarded in the mid-$140s/mt CFR, though this was not yet confirmed. The buyer was understood to be targeting a price in the mid-$130s/mt CFR, though traders argued that a price in the $140s/mt was more likely. Some offers were in the $150s/mt. The buyer’s previous tender, which closed in the last week of March, was reported awarded within the $135-140/mt CFR range. Subsequently, a range of spot deals were reported in the low-to-mid-$130s/mt CFR range to Brazil.
