Mediterranean: Buyers resist upwards momentum

Spot prices for sulphur sales of 10,000 mt or less in the Mediterranean regions were assessed unchanged at $120-130/mt CFR and $100-105/mt FOB, as new sales were limited despite some improved demand reported by some sources. One trader reported that they were receiving strong interest from Egyptian buyers willing to pay in the $130s/mt CFR and subsequently in the $140s/mt CFR. But others said that while availability in the region was limited, buyers were not yet willing to pay higher prices.
