No new sales of Middle East urea from producers were reported over the week when many suppliers gathered at the AFA meeting in Cairo, and some attended the TFI meeting in San Diego. Offers around the $270/mt FOB marker are not attracting buying interest in a slow market, despite prospects of added imports into the US. Bids from traders were few and far between as key markets such as Brazil and Thailand remained largely dormant, but one producer reported that a bid at $265/mt FOB had been declined, setting the top end for the non-US netbacks for the week.
