Mosaic predicts bigger 2018 phosphate, potash sales

Mosaic executives told shareholders February 20 that phosphate and potash sales volumes would by higher in North America and globally during 2018 due to economic factors including projected higher prices for some crops and an expected phosphate subsidy boost in India. Mosaic's Q4 2017 financial report included 2018 predictions of global phosphate sales (DAP, MAP, TSP and NPS) of 68.9-70.9 million mt, up from its 2017 estimate of 68.5 million mt. The producer's global potash shipment forecast was 65.5-67.5 million mt for 2018, up from an estimate of 65 million mt for 2017.
