US: January-October MOP imports at record high

The US imported 1.07 million mt MOP in October, a 32% increase from the same month of 2016 that leaves arrivals in January-October up 51% year on year at a record high 10.46 million mt. Canada was the source of 932,946 mt MOP in October, a 55% increase from October 2016. Of this, 306,745 mt were re-exported from Portland, Oregon. Other October sources included Uralkali with 65,783 mt and BPC with 54,465 mt.
