Morocco: OCP to remain key acid player

Morocco's sulphuric acid imports will remain a key market driver in 2018, with many market participants hopeful that OCP will continue the strong import volumes of recent years. For 2017, imports look likely to total around 1.3-1.4 million mt, similar to 2016. Although the buyer expects a slight decline to 1.2 million mt in 2018, its requirement from Europe is likely to remain firm, as it has imported large volumes this year from the likes of China, India and Canada.
