PhosAgro January-September net income down 57%

PhosAgro said net income in the first nine months of the calendar year decreased 57% to RUB 21.1 billion ($360.1 million). Revenues fell 8% to RUB 135.57 billion ($2.31 billion) as higher production levels were offset by ruble appreciation and a drop in the average realised price of phosphate rock, the company said. Revenues in PhosAgro's phosphate rock segment fell 22% for the nine months to RUB 15.80 billion. Gross profit in PhosAgro's nitrogen-based segment rose 76% year on year to RUB 1.9 billion.
