Japan: Jan-July DAP imports down 2.3%

Japan imported 226,967 mt DAP in the first seven months of 2017, down 2.3% year on year, according to IHS GTA data. Imports from China were down 2.4% at 114,347 mt, shipments from the US declined 24% to 65,430 mt and volumes from Saudi Arabia surged 92% to 37,000 mt. Loadings from Morocco increased to 6,030 mt from 5,500 mt in the same period a year earlier.
