Pupuk Kaltim has notified long term contract (LTC) holders awarded pursuant to the April 20 tender for term-contracts for 800,000 mt granular urea that an electronic session to sell 30,000 mt to the highest bidders will be conducted November 6. One parcel of 15,000 mt is offered for mid-November loading from Bontang, and the second lot is for end November loading. As reported earlier, production at Kaltim V resumed October 16, and the 3,500 mt/day urea unit is running at about 80% of rated capacity. Kaltim had declared force majeure August 10, citing production problems and a government order to supply the domestic market rather than export.
