China: Imports of ammonia up 11.6% through July

China imported 296,000 mt ammonia over the first seven months of 2017, an increase of 11.6% on the same months in 2016, according to China Customs data via IHS GTA. Indonesia maintained the lead with 163,000 mt, up by 29%, Saudi Arabia was up 22% to 70,000 mt while Australia was off 36% to 17,000 mt. Bangladesh was up 50% to 15,000 mt. Bahrain (15,000 mt in 2016) and Qatar (8,000 mt) dropped to zero.
