India: Assessment steady but increases expected

Sulphur prices for spot sales to India were assessed unchanged at $123-128/mt CFR pending further indications, though further increases seem likely given higher Middle East FOB and China CFR prices. No new deals were reported this week, following last week’s purchase by IFFCO of around 30-35,000 mt around $127/mt CFR and Tata’s purchase of 15,000 mt around $135-136/mt CFR, the latter of which was below the volume threshold of assessment criteria.
