Malaysia: H1 potash imports up 9%

Malaysia’s June imports of MOP more than doubled from the same month of 2016, reaching 215,362 mt and leaving the volume for the first half of 2017 up 9% year on year at 856,929 mt. June sources included Uralkali with 71,855 mt, Canpotex with 63,500 mt and BPC with 61,644 mt. In H1, Malaysia imported 360,212 mt MOP from Canpotex, a 24% increase year on year.
