SE Asia: Higher MOP prices cited in Indonesia, Malaysia

Some potash market participants this week provided higher price indications in Malaysia and Indonesia, although activity remains limited. In Malaysia, a distributor reported that small standard MOP sales of less than 1,000 mt were recently made at $235-242/mt CFR but the same source also said that large tenders in May-June were unlikely to yield levels above the $220s/mt CFR due in part to expectations of increased product availability. BPC reported that it will offer at $250-260/mt CFR for the upcoming tender season.
