UAN: US prices firm, but need support to rise

UAN prices in the US should rise in May on the back of stronger urea values and expected corn acres. However, those hoped for gains are not supporting higher import bids for now. Values were assessed lower in Egypt and European countries with Black/Baltic Sea assessments stable this week. Abu Qir sold 10,000 mt of UAN-32 to Trammo at $160/mt FOB in its April 3 tender, a $7/mt fall from sales at the end of March. The trader is believed to be taking these volumes to Ukraine.
