Chinese prills trade lower

As was reported January 13, Gubretas booked the 12-16,000 mt prilled urea tendered for in two lots via its January 7-8 tender with AFT around $343/mt CFR with 180 days, but prices have since nosedived for parcels of prills from China into ports capable of accommodating 40-50,000 mt carriers. Length from prior deliveries from offshore sources limits additional purchases by importers for direct application tonnage. Recent inquiries for industrial use into small ports include the January 12 Polisan tender for 3-4,000 mt prills for January loading where an award had yet to be issued at press time.
