DAP/MAP price surge returns to the USA

The US DAP/MAP price rally due to Mosaic’s countervailing duty petition against Morocco and Russia returned this week after a one-week hiatus. New Orleans DAP barge prices hit a 15/16-month high of $320-325/st FOB, up $50/st in the last five weeks alone. Cargoes for shipment to the US are slowly building, including two reported vessels of DAP from Egypt. However, so far no more than 200,000 t DAP/MAP is planned for Q3 arrival to the US, down from roughly 660,000 t last year.
