China: H1 DAP/MAP production down 11%

Production of DAP/MAP from Chinese suppliers in the first six months of 2020 fell 11% year on year to 12.3 Mt, according to latest CPFIA data. June DAP production reached 1.1 Mt, down 16% year on year with January-June DAP production down 13% year on year (or 1.0 Mt lower) to 6.7 Mt. July/August DAP production rates are reported to have risen for the 6+2 group to 68-73%, with further increases expected into September, from 60-65% rates in May/June.
