China’s exports of sulphuric acid from January through February 2020 increased 76% year on year to 404,090 t, according to customs data. Over the same period, acid imports were up 11% at 84,281 t. Morocco took the largest volume with 171,559 t, up from 58,304 t. This was followed by India with 161,282 t, up from 29,000 t. The volume to Chile was down to 51,997 t from 110,093 t. Over the same period, acid imports were up 11% at 84,281 t. South Korea was the source of 79,326 t, with 4,953 t from Taiwan.
