Egypt: August granular trades at $225/t FOB

A 40,000 t cargo of Egyptian granular urea has been booked for August shipment from Damietta at $225/t FOB. The buyer and the destination for the cargo were not revealed. Egyptian Chemical Industries Company (Kima) is meanwhile reported to have sold additional tonnes for Sudan for end-June/early July loading from Adabiya priced in line with the prior sale of 8-10,000 t reported June 4 at $223/t FOB. The exact quantity was not identified, but a total volume around 25,000 t was suggested. Kima had previously sold 45,000 t for second- half June loading at $214/t Adabiya in a deal booked May 18, also for an African destination, and is now sold out into July.
