摘要

Concerns over timeliness of Chinese fertilizers exports to India prevail this week. Consensus is that six or seven urea cargoes may not be shipped by the October 5 deadline, as stipulated in MMTC’s August 26 tender. Yantai railway station extended the suspension of additional fertilizer deliveries to 18:00 September 20 due to a heavy backlog. It is reported that 416 railcars or about 25,000 t urea is waiting for discharge at Yantai railway station, while 194 railcars or nearly 12,000 t on its way to the station. The railway authority had applied to suspend deliveries from 18:00 September 9 through to 18:00 September 30, but approval was only given through to September 20.
