Pakistan’s Finance Ministry approved a hike in the country’s April-September Kharif fertilizer subsidies paid to farmers, according to a May 13 statement. The DAP subsidy has now jumped to PKR 18,500/t ($115/t) from PKR 10,000 ($62/t) while it introduces a direct-to-farmers urea subsidy of PKR 4,860/t ($30/t).
