A cargo of about 30,000 t granular urea from ChinaCoal was booked by Asende in recent days for July shipment at $229.50/t FOB, according to local sources. This followed offers last week for granular in the low $230s/t FOB. Asende’s prior purchases of prills to cover one of the cargoes for India for RCF via the sale at $226/t FOB Tianjin to Samsung are confirmed concluded for supply from Inner Mongolian producers Tianrun, Lianhua and Ordos Chemical. Asende had also provided cover to Samsung for the second cargo, and this has now been confirmed despite some suggestions in the market are that this could conceivably be supplied from Indonesia.
