Chile: Forward deals reported in $60s/t CFR

Spot prices for sulphuric acid sales to Chile were assessed unchanged at $70-80/t CFR on an indicative basis. Forward sales for Q1 cargoes were reported in the upper $60s/t CFR, though many were surprised that traders were willing to accept these prices. Buyers also have some carryover tonnage from 2019, according to some sources, leaving them more comfortable to prolong negotiations for next year’s contracts.
