Middle East: Spot price extends decline

Spot prices for sulphur exports from the Middle East were assessed down on an indicative basis at $70-75/t FOB from $75-80/t. Official monthly price postings from producers ranged from $75/t FOB to $78/t FOB. Recent sulphur spot deals in China around $90/t CFR and rumoured activity to North Africa in the high $80s/t CFR would net back around $70/t FOB, latest sales to South Africa and Brazil would likely reflect the low $70s/t FOB while latest sales to India around the mid-$90s/t CFR would net back around $75/t FOB.
