Outgoing NFU Scotland vice-president and dairy farmer Gary Mitch-ell has issued an impassioned plea to farmers to end the stigma around mental health - and speak up about their problems.In a sobering address, he revealed how he had suffered a very difficult year in 2018,which had badly affected his mental health.Mr Mitchell told how his emotional distress peaked on the Monday after the Highland Show last June and he decided to talk to NFUS president Andrew McCornick about his troubles.
