Mitsui deepens ties with Sakhalin LNG partners after penning Baltic LNG MOU

Mitsui has further aligned with its Sakhalin 2 LNG partners after signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gazprom regarding the proposed 10 mtpa Baltic LNG project, which it plans to launch around the same time as the proposed third train at Sakhalin. The MOU marks the third agreement between the pair signed at three consecutive Eastern Economic Forums – held annually in September. Neither company elaborated on what was covered under the MOU.
