Gazprom appeals against Danish request for third Nord Stream 2 pipeline route

The Gazprom-owned developer of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline has lodged an appeal against the decision by the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) to request a third route application through Danish waters. Meanwhile, pipelaying in Russian waters is now well underway with over 1,000 km of NS2 pipes laid to date along the route towards Germany. Switzerland-based Nord Stream 2 AG claimed the DEA’s decision requesting a route south-east of Bornholm was “illegal” - but would not comment on what grounds the company viewed the request as unlawful, when asked by Gas Matters Today.
