Uniper ponders LNG offtake from Woodside’s unlikely Pluto expansion

Woodside has lined up Uniper as a potential customer for its proposed second train expansion of its Pluto LNG facility after the pair signed a heads of agreement for a 13-year LNG supply deal of up to 1 mtpa. However, half of the volume is contingent on the Australian firm taking a final investment decision (FID) on the Scarborough development that will feed the expanded Pluto plant, which faces some major hurdles.
