Thailand delays gas field offer

Thailand will delay the auctions of the conces- sions for the Erawan and Bongkot gas fields in the Gulf of Thailand (GoT) for at least another month, with winners expected to be revealed the middle of 2018, according to a senior official. Chevron operates the Erawan field and state- owned PTT Exploration and Production operates the Bongkot field under licences that are due to expire in 2022 and 2023 respectively, Reuters reported. The fields have combined production of 62.32 MMcm/d (2.2 Bcf/d), around 76% of output from the GoT.
