Subsea 7 posts Q2 loss

Subsea 7 has booked a significant loss in Q2 2020 on restructuring and impairment charges, as well as a decline in the SURF and Conventional business units. The company recognised a Q2 2020 net loss of US $922m, compared to a profit of $24m in Q2 2019. Second quarter revenue of $754m was 21% lower than the prior-year period, but broadly in line with Q1 2020.
