China’s Teapots Win Generous Import Quotas

China’s Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom) gave independent refiners, also known as teapots, generous crude quotas in its first batch of 2018 crude imports, allowing them to import 90.45 million tons (660.285 million barrels), almost double the volume they received in the 2017 first batch.
