CPC Inks LNG Supply Deal With Cheniere

Taiwan’s CPC is the latest Asian LNG buyer to sign a long-term contract with US exporter Cheniere, agreeing to buy 2 million tons/yr over 25 years. A CPC official told International Oil Daily that delivery of the first cargo under the heads of agreement (HOA) is expected to start in 2021 and all the volumes would be delivered by Cheniere on a delivered (des) basis, instead of free-on-board (f.o.b), which is a more common delivery mode for US projects.
