Exxon Farms Into Petronas Block

Exxon Mobil’s already massive footprint in the Guyana-Suriname Basin just got bigger, with the US supermajor farming into Malaysian Petronas’ Block 52 offshore Suriname. The farm-in, completed Tuesday, will grant Exxon a 50% stake in the 1.17 million acre block, bringing its license count across the wider basin to five. Petronas will retain operatorship of Block 52.
