Airlines Resigned to Slow Recovery in Traffic

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has launched a Restart Taskforce to help a shell-shocked jet fuel supply chain recover from the unprecedented demand destruction of the Covid-19 pandemic (IOD May4’20). Airlines and their fuel suppliers had been scheduled to meet in Berlin this week for IATA’s regular Fuel Forum before the pandemic forced the event online. Instead, the first-ever virtual fuel forum still attracted almost 500 participants with the deadly virus predictably dominating discussions.
