Carbon is set to become the next big internationally traded commodity as the world moves toward the target of net-zero emissions of greenhouse gases, BP executives told the online Asia Pacific Petroleum Conference. And as the carbon market develops and grows, Singapore is well placed to become a regional trading hub, leveraging the strong position it already enjoys as a commodities trading hub, they added.
