Oil’s roller-coaster ride continued on Wednesday, with the commodity climbing higher amid increased geopolitical tensions and hopes that major Opec and non-Opec producers might deepen cuts that were announced so recently they have not yet been implemented. Just before trading got started in the US, President Donald Trump threatened to “shoot down” Iranian gunboats should they continue to harass US Navy ships.
