Eni Appraises Egypt Gas Find

talian major Eni has appraised a gas discovery in Egypt's Nile Delta, and separately announced an oil discovery in the country's Western Desert. The Italian major said a test well at the Bashrush gas discovery, located in the North El-Hammad permit in the Nile Delta, delivered up to 32 MMcf/d of gas. The company estimates Bashrush could produce up to 100 MMcf/d of gas and 800 b/d of condensate (IOD Jul.2'20). Eni operates the well with a 37.5% stake. BP holds another 37.5% and Total has 25%. Eni and its partners aim to fast-track production using existing infrastructure in the area.
