Dana Gas Reports Q1 Output Growth

Dana Gas increased its production by 6% year-on-year in the first quarter due to the completion of a debottlenecking program in the Kurdistan region of Iraq(KRI)that boosted output,the Abu Dhabi-listed firm said in a statement.Average production for first-quarter 2019 grew to 68,700 boe/d from 65,000 boe/d from the same period a year earlier.The completed debottlenecking project came on stream in October 2018 and took gas production in Iraqi Kurdistan from 300 MMcf/d to 400 MMcf/d,an increase of over 30%,the company said.Bringing the Balsam-8 well in Egypt on stream in the fourth quarter also contributed to the rise in output.
