The BP-led Tangguh LNG project in east Indonesia has been given the government green light to start exporting cargoes to Singapore from 2020, an energy ministry official said. BP is expected to deliver four Tangguh LNG cargoes to Singapore next year, followed by 16 shipments annually from 2021-25. That equates to around 1 million tons/yr, assuming a typical cargo size of 65,000 tons, with the LNG to be sourced from the plant’s third 3.8 million ton/yr liquefaction train now in development.
