Lukoil Misses at Ivorian Well

Russian major Lukoil said Monday that it has completed drilling its first exploration well off Cote d’Ivoire in West Africa, a strate- gic region for its future growth, but the dis- covery is uncommercial. “The Orca-1X-bis well has penetrated the targeted objectives and discovered thin sandstone reservoirs,” Lukoil said in a statement.
