摘要

Graphical abstract The new 3d-4f complexes CuII 4SmIII 2 and CuII 4EuIII 2 in which the hexanuclear compartment species have been formed without the addition of an external linking ligand were synthesized. The heterohexanuclear complexes are dicationic, the positive charge being counterbalanced by NO3 ? ions. In their crystals the nitrate ion binds two heterotrinuclear unit in μ 2 bridging mode. The copper(II) ions are five- and sixcoordinated whereas the coordination number of lanthanide(III) ion is equal to nine. The compounds display the asymmetry in the degree of planarity of the bridging CuO2Ln fragments. CuO and CuSm2O4 (1)/CuEu2O4 (2) are the final products of complex decomposition in air.
