SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Global economic growth is projected to inch up to 2.5% in 2020 as investment and trade improve gradually from last year’s significant weakness, but downward risks are still expected to persist, according to the World Bank (WB). For 2019, the world GDP growth forecast was 2.4%, representing a sharp slowdown from the 3.0% pace recorded in the previous year, the multilateral institution said in its January 2020 Global Economic Prospects report.
