Turkey PE/PP prices rebound as suppliers cut allocations

LONDON (ICIS)--Turkish polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) prices rebounded this week, with many suppliers hiking their January price offers. US PE sellers increased their offers at the end of December, and many Middle Eastern players followed suit for January. Availability is shorter because many Middle Eastern producers have cut their allocations due to first-quarter planned maintenance periods. US offers have also diminished, with current offers only for end of February or March shipment.
