Gazpromneft updates on promising Chonsk

Gazpromneft has completed the second horizontal well at its Ignyalinskoye feld in east Siberia - part of the 1.6bn bl Chonsk project - before the planned start of pilot development next year. The well, with 10-stage fracking, yielded over 250 t/d (1,300 b/d) - twice as much as the frst horizontal well drilled last year - reafrming the commercial potential of the three-feld Chonsk project. The Ignyalinskoye, Vakunaiskoye and Tympuchikanskoye felds have combined estimated reserves of 1bn t (7.3bn bl).
