Australia's imports of MOP increased by almost 22pc year on year to around 276,000t in January-September, but fell by 6pc compared with the corresponding period of 2015. Canada accounted for over half of the January-September 2017 total by sending 141,000t, up from 111,000t a year earlier, but down from 168,000t in the first nine months of 2015.
