Demand remains relatively muted amid concerns over heavy flooding as a result of the monsoon. But prices are edging up. In latest business: 1. IPL has bought 25,000t of DAP from Jordan for loading at the end of September. The price is reported to be around $343/t fob, or the mid-to-high $350s/t cfr. 2. A sale of 40,000-45,000t of Chinese DAP through a trader has been reported at around $360/t cfr, reflecting around $347/t fob China. The seller is thought to be Fertrade supplying a Yihua cargo. The purchase is linked with IPL. 3. Sabic reports the sale of 30,000t dark DAP at $361/t cfr loading October. 4. At presstime Mosaic reported the sale of 25,000t DAP on a spot basis in combination with tonnage for its own system in the low-$360s/t cfr. This is for October arrival.
