Prices rise as demand firms

1. Gasoline prices firmed on strong demand and tighter supply. Heavy naphtha buying interest was also firm but fuel oil exports to Asia-Pacific were undermined by shipments to the region from Europe. 2. Political turmoil surrounding the US renewable fuels mandate caused the Argus Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO) to fall under 4￠/USG (see graph). This is the lowest the RVO has been since November 2015.
