The amount of coal delivered on China’s key Daqin railway line in April edged up by 2pc from a year earlier amid higher production. The Daqin rail line, which mainly connects the coal- producing heartland of Shanxi province to Qinhuangdao port, transported 32.84mn t or 1.09mn t/d in April. This was also down by 13pc from the previous month. Daqin delivered 142.56mn t of coal during January-April, down by 2.5pc from a year earlier on slower coal production in this year's first quarter.
