摘要

Electron beam melting (EBM) is an additive manufacturing technique through which components are built by selectively melting powder layers with a focused electron beam. This process is characterized by short electron beam-powder interaction times and localized high heat input, which lead to steep thermal gradients, rapid solidification and fast cooling. At present, EBM has been largely applied to aerospace and biomedical industries as a near-net-shape process technology. In general, hot isostatic pressing (HIP) is carried out for the EBM-produced Ti?6Al?4V alloy to ensure the durability of the components. However, the effect of HIP treatment has not been well understood. In the present work, the changes in microstructures and mechanical properties after different post-heat treatment were studied.
