Pearlite is composed of ferrite and cementite with different elastic constants. Even in the ferrite matrix, stress is different from grain to grain depending on the crystal orientation when a specimen deforms elastically. Thus, the proportional constants between the applied stress and elastic strains in oriented family grains in a polycrystal are called "hkl diffraction elastic constants", for instance, diffraction Yong modulus, etc. These elastic constants must be influenced by texture. In this study, therefore, the diffraction elastic constants in two pearlite steels with <110> fiber texture or weak texture were determined by using a Time of Flight (TOF) neutron diffraction.
